After 35 years in full time senior line management roles in the Marine Insurance Broking sector in London and internationally, the last 23 with the HSBC group where Peter was responsible for global marine insurance broking and Shipbroking, he is now engaged in advisory and non executive roles in the insurance and shipping industry and is also a trustee of some marine charities and City of London Trade Associations. Peter is delighted to act as Chairman of our UK Company where he brings his extensive international network of contacts and experience.

Ben's background is in sales and marketing where he acquired the skills necessary to expand the C Solutions business models into our established markets. He, along with Chris Telford will focus in particular on the development of our Outsourcing functions on a Global basis and be responsible for coordinating and expanding the network partnerships we continue to establish in strategic locations. Ben will also continue his claims training so that he becomes a valuable member of the claims team at Lloyd's. Together with Chris Telford Ben will also take on the day to day running of the Group.

After more than three decades with Ince & Co in Hong Kong and the UK latterly as joint head of the shipping casualty department, Chris decided to focus on the C Solutions Group (established 1999) and now devotes 100% of his time overseeing the insurance and legal claims division of the company with an emphasis on shipping casualty work. Since April 2010 he has once more been based in Asia.

Clive then spent 20 years in Hong Kong dealing with all manner of investigative, claims handling, arbitration and litigation matters. Clive returned to live and work in Hong Kong (where he has permanent resident status) in April 2012 as a Director of C Solutions (Asia) Limited.

John has a Law Degree and between 1976-1979 worked with a prominent London law firm. He then joined a well known Owner in Greece as in-house legal adviser for 10 years specializing in hull and machinery, P&I claims and charter-party disputes, involving a number of major insurance claims. In addition John has top management experience with a leading shipbroker and is now head of Independent Claims Consultants which is a joint venture with C Solutions covering the Greek market in particular.

Patrick started his career as a Deck Cadet in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and later gained considerable seagoing experience in the offshore industry. He read law at Newcastle University and subsequently qualified as a solicitor with Eversheds. He joined the North of England P & I Association in 1992, his main focus being Admiralty, crew and passenger claims. He moved into consultancy and claims management in 1998. Patrick is also a qualified Mediator, and a member of the Law Society and the Nautical Institute.

Laurence joined from his role as partner at Sach Solicitors. Before qualifying as a solicitor, he spent 14 years at sea serving on a variety of ship types, including bulkers and tankers, as well as offshore supply vessels and anchor handlers in the North Sea. Coming ashore, he gained a First Class Honours degree in Nautical Studies and then worked as a claims executive at the West of England and Skuld P&I Clubs. He advises in particular on the investigation and management of maritime casualties and in relation to charterparty, bill of lading and cargo claims.

Guy Morel has held senior management positions in ship owning and ship management companies since 1979. He is former General Secretary of the International Ship Managers Association (InterManager). Guy was President of the New York listed shipowning company, MC Shipping Inc., and prior to that was Vice President of Marketing and a Founder of the Monaco-based ship manager V.Ships. He is also a Professor of Corporate Finance at the University of Monaco. Guy holds an MSc Eng from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is on the boards of several shipping companies and is a member of various professional clubs and societies.

In addition, Chris expects soon to become a full member of our claims handling team based in our Lloyd's headquarters. Jorge has travelled extensively throughout Latin America on cargo claims and risk management assignments and is a qualified adjuster in the Chilean market. He worked for 17 years for CIGNA as Latin American marine claims manager and was also a member of the management team responsible for setting up the AIG operation in Chile. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing practical risk management programmes within the region, and also in investigating and adjusting large and complex cargo and consequential loss claims.
