What We Do
What We Do
Our Admiralty team advises on maritime casualty matters, including crisis planning and response, investigation and legal follow up. We advise on the negotiation of all types of salvage, towage and wreck removal contracts and have wide experience of LOF and SCOPIC. Our expertise extends to media management, training and PR in the aftermath of a casualty.
We have a thriving practice representing predominantly owners and their liability insurers in all manner of claims including charterparty disputes, demurrage and dead freight collections, piracy, confiscation claims, shipbuilding and repair disputes.
Our lawyers represent clients in arbitration and have wide experience of litigation around the World. We advise on General Average issues and collections, premium collection and reinsurance recoveries.
Our non-contentious practice deals with ship sale & purchase contractual advice. We are also increasingly asked to provide advice on the growing cyber security threat and the steps that should be taken by our clients to ensure they are adequately insured and prepared to deal with the legal and commercial consequences of a cyber attack. Together with C Forensics, we also assist our clients in recovery actions following such attacks.
Our yacht team provides a 'cradle to grave' service to owners, brokers, insurers, charterers, managers and builders. In particular we advise on finance, new building contracts, sale and purchase, insurance, casualty management and crewing.
We advise owners, cruise ship operators, brokers and liability insurers on complex personal injury and loss of life claims and have wide experience of crisis advice, medevac and cost/claim negotiation.
